Are you ready to deepen your practice or share the practices of yoga with others? If you said yes, then you’ve come to the right place.
Graduates of our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program consistently graduate with the skills and knowledge they need to feel confident stepping into the role of teacher.
You will learn the foundations of anatomy and physiology, key points of the most common asana, and how to adapt asana to a wide range of bodies and abilities, the basics of safe, effective, and appropriate hands on assisting, the most effective ways to sequence a yoga class, and a solid introduction to the deep history and philosophy of the yoga practice. All of this provides a comprehensive and well rounded experience that exceeds the standards set by The Yoga Alliance.
Upon completion of this training you will:
Have the skills to develop safe and effective yoga sequences for all levels and abilities
Have a foundation in yoga history and philosophy from which to expand your knowledge in advanced trainings
Be prepared to teach yoga in a variety of settings
Understand teaching yoga as a business
Have lifelong connections to like minded individuals

Space in our trainings is limited. This small group setting allows for personal guidance and mentoring from our lead trainer, as well as deeper connections with your peers.
Because we understand that time is precious, with full time jobs, family responsibilities, and other obligations we have designed our training to fit your life. With once per month weekend meetings spaced over 8 months, plus additional weekday evening virtual sessions, and pre-recorded material, there’s plenty of time between meetings to absorb what you’ve learned, complete assignments, and still meet your other obligations.
Our skilled lead trainer, Carrie Klaus, E-RYT 500 has over a decade of teaching experience, with extensive advanced training. The program curriculum has developed out of her years of practice and training and includes not only time tested teaching techniques, but also new and relevant methods and techniques based on current research.
You are strongly encourage you to begin a regular and consistent practice with us at Element Yoga before beginning your training. Those that have practiced with us regularly gain more depth from their training, and have more successful careers as yoga teachers.

Training sessions will be held at The Kula Center of New Albany. This century old former school house was renovated in 2017 and is now home to Element Yoga and Āyurvedic Wellness, and several other holistic health and wellness services. The space has a dedicated training facility in addition to a beautiful practice space.
